Credit Rating

Credit rating assesses the issuer’s ability to repay debt, helping investors gauge risk. Higher ratings indicate lower risk, making the NCD more attractive.

NCD Credit Rating is an assessment of the creditworthiness of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs), assigned by credit rating agencies such as CRISIL, ICRA, CARE, and India Ratings. The rating reflects the issuer's ability to repay principal and interest on the debenture within the stipulated time.

The ratings range from AAA (highest safety) to D (default), with intermediate ratings indicating varying levels of risk. A higher rating indicates lower risk for investors, while a lower rating suggests higher risk.

Credit ratings help investors make informed decisions about NCD investments, balancing potential returns against risk. These ratings are based on the issuer's financial health, industry performance, and economic conditions, offering transparency and trust in the bond market.
