What is the relationship between anchor investors and QIBs?

Anchor investors are a subset of QIBs. They are institutional investors who invest in an IPO one day before it opens to the public, helping set a pricing benchmark and build investor confidence.

• Minimum investment for anchor investors: ₹10 crore in mainboard IPOs and ₹1 crore in SME IPOs.

• Their shares are subject to a 30/90 day lock-in post-allotment.
