What is MT in stock market?

In an IPO, the "MT group" refers to stocks listed on the BSE SME platform, which is designed for small and medium-sized companies. Here's what it means:

SME Listing: The "M" indicates that the stock belongs to the SME segment of the Bombay Stock Exchange, created specifically for smaller businesses.

If Issue Type = IPO and Issue category is SME then the listing group for BSE should be 'MT' and for NSE should be 'ST'.

The "T" adds extra rules for trading and settlement to ensure smoother transactions for these stocks.
