Upstox Demat and Trading accounts can be closed online by submitting a closure request through the mobile app or the web portal.

Look for the Account closure section under your Profile once you log in to the Upstox app/website. Click on the link to confirm account closure by providing a reason for closing the account.

Before initiating account closure, ensure all the dues are cleared, and there is no holding in your Demat account, failing which the closure request can get rejected.

Once the request is submitted, your account gets closed within 7 days.
