How to close HDFC securities Demat account online?

HDFC Securities Demat account can be closed online or offline. The online closure process is restricted only for zero holding Demat accounts, while the offline closure process is applicable for any Demat account.

To close the HDFC Securities Demat account online, you need to log in to the closure account page of HDFC Securities and submit the request.

Steps to close HDFC Securities Demat account:

Download HDFC Securities Demat account closure form (CDSL).
Fill the form with Client details and account holder names.
Mention the reason for the closure.
Mention the details of securities (if any) along with the beneficiary details for transfer.
Sign the form and submit it to the nearest HDFC Securities branch.

HDFC Securities maintains the CDSL Demat account closure form on their website. However, if you have an account with NSDL, drop a mail to customercare@hdfcsec.com for assistance.

It is recommended to close your HDFC securities Demat account if you are not using it, as it incurs fees and maintenance charges.
