What is primary & secondary market?

Primary market is the market where investors can buy shares directly from the issuer company to raise their capital.

Secondary market is the market where stocks are traded after they are initially offered to the investor in primary market (IPO's etc.) and get listed to stock exchange. Secondary market comprises of equity markets and the debt markets. Secondary market is a platform to trade listed equities, while Primary market is the way for companies to enter in to secondary market.

when a company offer his share first time in the market then it is called primary market & when a person want to sell his shares which are purchased by primary market then secondary market is used

the new issue market is one constitute of capital market and also called primary market. .

secondary market is one more components of industrial securities market. it is engaged in buying and selling of securities. which are second hand security. .

The primary market refers to marketing of new shares in a company to the investors for the first time. Once the investors have acquired shares, they will at some point wish to dispose of all or few of their shares and will generally do this through a stock exchange. This Later process is referred to as dealing on the secondary market.
