Following precautions should be taken:

1. Keep DIS book in safe custody.

2. When writing an instruction on DI slip, strike out the empty space.

3. If you are using internet facility for your Demat Account, keep changing your password frequently.

4. Before giving Power of Attorney (POA) to any person for operating in your account, understand the contents and implications of such POA.
