What is the maximum length of Name on PAN Card?

A PAN Card cannot carry name exceeding 25 characters. Applicants with longer names should suitably abbreviate the name but without using any nickname or aliases.

For example: VIJAY SINGH CHAPLOT, can be abbreviated as VIJAY S CHAPLOT

If your name is not correct on PAN Card, you can always change it by submitting a request for change.
