Teamlease Buyback No of shares reserved in small investors quota=49180 No of small investors as on 31/12/22=19427 Record date=03/04/23 No of small investors as on 31/03/23=53620 Above mentioned data shows there was a chance that all single share applications might not be successfully processed here. But today the Buyback is closed and final data is Total no of applications submitted=47531<49180
Hence all single share applicants will make good profit here unless there is rejection due to some technical reason.Good profit for those who took the risk.
It's never like this the way you are interpreting it.
You cannot be 100% sure that there will be 100% single share acceptance in a case where "No. of application submitted is < the number of shares reserved in retail category".
I would suggest you to clear your basic understanding. Try to read the Letter of offer's "basis of acceptance" section. Try to interpret it correctly. You can find this section in any LOF.
Always no. of shares tendered by holders is compared with the no. of shares reserved for a retailer. We can't compare the way you are comparing it.
@Ayush Jindal Please explain what is wrong in my concept? Also give me an example with relevant links where my concept did not worked successfully.I will be happy if I learn correct things from anyone.
If all retail investor apply for their entitled quota than investor holding 1 share will not get accepted. These 1 share holder investors are lucky only because someone holding shares which are entitled to get accepted are not tendered. So there quoto of entitled shares are been distributed among 1 share holder investors. Here first preference is given to 1 share holder category investors than of any shares left will pass on to other investors. That is why Acceptance ratio is all equal to or greater than Entitled ratio. Hope it is clear now
I don't remember any such case in the past now. But you can refer to this buyback as an example. There is no 100% acceptance in the Team lease in the case of a single share.
@kousik: its wrong observation from you...first shares will be given as per ER ratio to multiple shares holder then from rest left shares, it will be given to single share holders, not the way the first 1 share will be accepted from everyone...so no of application less than no of shares doesn't mean all single shares will be accepted, all those applicants are not holding and tendering only single share....
@lokes : Thank you for sharing your wisdom. Even I too have this query which got answered. one of those genuine person who's in this forum to be followed for Buyback, IPOs. Any way to connect you ?
@Ayush,papon and lokes Thanks for explaining.I have gone through "basis of acceptance" section and found my concept wrong. Here in Teamlease I have seen many people are saying that their single share applications are not processed successfully.
Now if total number of applications is well below total no of shares reserved for small investors, can it be concluded that all single share applications will be processed successfully?

Dear Member, Folio / DP Id & Client Id : Name of the Member : Sub: Update on proposed Buyback of Equity Shares of Hinduja Global Solutions Limited (‘the Company’) The Company has noticed that certain misleading rumours are circulating about the status of the buyback programme of the Company’s shares (Buyback). The Company has also received queries regarding the same and therefore, through this letter, we intend to apprise you the status of the proposed Buyback. Post receipt of Shareholders’ approval for Buyback of equity shares of the Company on January 25, 2023, the public announcement of Buyback appeared in the newspapers on January 31, 2023. The aggregate amount of Buyback is Rs. 1,020 crores and the buyback price is Rs. 1,700 per Equity Share. The Record Date to determine the eligibility of Shareholders of the Company for Buyback was fixed at March 6, 2023. After the public announcement on February 7, 2023, the Company filed the Draft Letter of Offer (DLOF) with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its comments. On February 7, 2023, amendments on Buyback regulations were notified and came into effect. This led to some ambiguity as to whether HGS Buyback would be as per the amended regulations or as per the old regulations resulting in some delay of the entire process. After all assessments and analysis, it was clarified to the Company that the Buyback would be as per the old regulations. Thereafter, the Company has submitted, from time to time, all the information sought (including Record Date data). The Company is currently awaiting final clearance on the DLOF. As per the prescribed procedure, the Company shall dispatch the Letter of Offer to all the eligible shareholders within 5 working days from the date of receipt of final comments on DLOF. The Buyback Offer would open within 5 working days of the dispatch of Letter of Offer to the Shareholders. While the process has taken longer than envisaged, the Company remains committed to its shareholders and shall complete the Buyback of Equity Shares at the earliest. We seek your co–operation in the matter. Thanking you, For Hinduja Global Solutions Limited Sd/- Narendra Singh Company Secretary F 4853

Sportking Buyback No of shares reserved in small investors quota=87000 No of small investors as on 31/12/22=23096 Total no of applications submitted=28672<<<87000 (Issue closed on 29/03/23)
1 share strategy worked there as expected.Poor participation by 1 share players here also.I have skipped GPIL due to small margin and will also skip TEAMLEASE due to small size.(👈THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDATION)
@scrip What is reason behind your non entitlement in vrl?
@Aman These details are available only when the Buyback offer is running. You have to bookmark these pages for viewing in future. And Buyback acquisition window is provided by either Bse or Nse(mentioned in respective buyback letter of offer).
When in Bse Live public issues>respective buyback page>Bse bid details When in Nse Nse ipo page>other offers>tender offer>active>respective buyback page>demand details
Try this with ajanta pharma which is scheduled to be closed on 10/04/23.In this case acquisition window is provided by nse.
sir why you skip teamlease as for retails 49,000 application are available and changes of 49,000 people ( who apply in 1 share strategy are very less ). so why don't you buy.
No of small investors as on 31/12/22=23096 from where did you get this data sir for sport king buyback as in nse and bse .. its showing 28,672 ( combined retail & hni ) form where you get data of retail only.
@Aman In teamlease the profit per share is lucrative and much better than sportking, vrl and ajanta pharma. So a better participation from 1 share players is expected. It is even better than eclerx where total no of applications were 56946.Hence skipped it.
No of persons holding shares amounting less than 2 lac at the end date of each quarter can be found in bse website under shareholding pattern of respective company.
No of small shareholders (holding value<2 lacs) as on 31/03/23 is 53620 in Teamlease.1 share applicants will fall in this category. Share reserved in this particular category =(327869×0.15)=49180. Lets hope for the best who will apply in this category.

As per BSE website on AGM date 15 March 2023 Total Number of Shareholders on record date is 66,177. Is it number of total shareholders? Correct me if I'm wrong.
See this record date is neither agm date(15/03/23) nor buyback record date(29/03/23).This is the cutoff date for eligibility regarding the evoting for approving buyback and other resolutions, which is 10/02/2023.As on 10/02/2023 total no of shareholders were 66177 and only those people/entity were eligible for participating in evoting.
@Kousik Chakravarti oh that's so. thanks for elaborate. shareholders continuously increasing i hope one share strategy works, Otherwise I will have a big loss🥲

@rahulbajaaj Retail investors think negative when market is down. But as per my limited knowledge,1.5 lakh unique application in retail quota of a buyback is a pretty difficult thing in Indian buyback market when previous no of retail shareholders is way below that(total no of shareholders is 66177 as on 10/02/23).Remember in eclerx no of total applications is 56946.
Meanwhile teamlease also published their buyback record date today which is 03/04/23 with retail quota of 49180 shares.I am not applying here.Lets see how it goes.
Above comments are not recommendations.Anybody can do whatever he/she wants.
@Kousik Chakravarti 🤞 For symphony. By the way Total shareholders of Teamlease 20,871 (December 2022) decreased to 17,909 [ source:- https://www.bseindia.com/stock-share-price/teamlease-services-ltd/teamlease/539658/voting-results/ ]. And if retail quota is 49180 shares then i think may be one share strategy will work here.
@DHARMENDER KUMAR Kul mila ke Kehne ka matlab ye he ki symphony ke shareholders jo ki December 2022 tak 51,950 the vo 10 February 2023 ki date par badh k 66,177 ho gaye he.
@Rahulbajaaj Lets wait for two low margin buyback to finish first.Vrl closing date 27/03/23 and sportking closing date 29/03/23.We will have a more clear picture then regarding small shareholders participation in buybacks.
@admin Please open a page for Godawari power & ispat limited buyback through tender route Total size 250 cr or 50 lakh shares Buyback price 500/ Record date 31/03/23
