I am trying a Rights Issue for first time.

I bought South Indian Bank shares in my Upstox account but my bank accounts have linked with my Motilal Oswal account.

How do I proceed?

There seems to be some confusion among members. 19th October is record date for Dividend and not Buyback. For buyback voting is going on and will be over on 15th November. After that they will announce the record which can be 25th November, as per my assumption.

1.2L shares will be bought from Retail
47L shares are being held by Retails (under 2L)

Chances of acceptance are pretty small... If you have many accounts, like I do, you can buy 1 share in each account and earn 20% ;)

Hi Rajkumar, prace - i have 2 accounts of me and in both has 1 share each, will 1 share from both d accounts be accepted. Like u said we can apply from multi accounts, hence checking.

Got email for buyback.

I have 1 share in 5 accounts. Email says I have 1 share but my entitlement is of 0 share.

Will they accept my share or not?

I currently have 44 shares in my account. Many people are of opinion that AR will be 50% or less.

If I sell my 22 shares after record date and tender only 22 shares will they accept 50% of 44 or 50% of 22 ?

@Nishant: Number of shares accepted will be according to Acceptance Ratio.

For Retail... ER comes around 1.5%

2Cr shares with retail
3L shares to be bought back

Considering its strong performance, many may not offer in Buyback. My assumption is that AR may come around 25%

I''ve heard that 15% of the buyback will be done from people who have less than 200 shares (or shares of less than 2 Lakh value). This could give decent returns if the shares are accepted.

What about how the shares of HNI will be considered? How will they buy back from Institutions? Please guide.
