ETF are like mutual funds, but can be traded in stock exchanges like shares

That is why they are called ETF: "Exchange Traded" Funds

You can just have a mental imagine of Exchange Traded (mutual - literally speaking but not actually) funds.

To explain you in clarity, mutual funds invest their money in lot of shares. Same way, ETF are investing in selected scrips, but they are traded like stocks.
