Yes. You are right. All the entitled shares will be accepted. If you submit more than the entitled shares, the balance shares shall be accepted on proportionate basis.

Which one prefer category ? Retail or General ?

For retail price on record date * number of shares must be less than 2.0 lac and for general it must be more than 2.0 lac
Most of the time general category acceptance are much much less that retail category as there are 15% reservations for retail category. You may go with any category.

this time as promotors not participating in buyback
so general category might have slightly better chance

but i think it might end up in same range for both retail and general based on various factors
