Hi,
I missed to pay part1/first installment for Reliance Rights Issue though I have RE shares in my account from May 26th as I bought those RE shares in open market. Did any one missed like me? What are the options we have now to utilize those and pay 1st part? It's annoying process so some people might missed due to understanding gaps.

The strict timelines is to grab the money from investors, even govt doesn't follow this kind of deadline. These broking firms are also thieves, they are not sending notification on time. You are not on debt, but Reliance is on. I agree with you, it's very mis-organized annoying process.

Rights issues is not new in the market. Several companies issued it. Previously rights letter was sent manually by post /courier and with same 14 days timeline. Those not wanting to apply could either renounce or sell through stock exchange and transfer manually. SEBI this year made it more digitised for all investors benefit from manual to Dmat. This changed the previous messy methods that needed long time and manual payment, submission. Trading too shifted from manual to online platform. New system enables all shareholders to participate online which was not the case earlier. Right issue is vogue form past 40 years.

Those who buy have to apply for it before the last date. All market products are risky and should be entered into after due knowledge or seeking proper guidance from trustworthy brokers.
