I talk to many brokers. No one is willing to open a trading account for a minor. Even I spoke to Sharekhan and they told me that demat account can be opened but not a trading account. That means we can buy but not sell the shares in a demat account of a minor.

you can transfer shares from minor demat account to guardian demat account and than sell it to market
