Why there is irregularity with allotment of shares to retail . Retail investor should be given weigh of number of shares applied in lottery. There might be a system of fraud in allotment which works against law of equality and there might be more allotments to applicants who have sell there applications in so called grey market on web . Current processure is not as it had been e decade before .

Because IPO should be succeeded for company ,it's also prescribed under rule 6 of SEBI(ICDR) regulations that depending on co's eligibility, 75% to QIB, 15% To NIB & 10% RII while also on voluantry book building it's 50% to QIB, 25% to RII & 15% to NII ,if eligible company goes for Fixed issue then 50% is reserved for RII( to fetch more money from market, branded companies goes only for book building process), also as per SCRR 90% should be subscribed else company has to refund back money, Retail investor can't do investment in crores and they also remains minority so that may be reason..
