There is a pressing need to get the bullet train going. But I highly doubt the ability of companies like RITES/ IRCON to execute such technologically intricate projects....Hence in the interest of the nation, there can be no harm in resorting to the brilliance and eclectical abilities companies like Reliance who can truly make everything in India starting warships or even the most advanced fighter jets with astoung amount of ease...

Huh! But who will fence the trackway along? IRCON??? Even if they do so, they can't make a manned level crossing every 50 metres with a guard to legally ensure no bhakt or civilian (whatever, Indians are known to shit on tracks) trespasses and gets killed while the shithole is wide open, headlights hitting their eyes!!!

SEBI doesn't allow Bandhan Bank promoters to sale stake because its a new listing, RBI wants Bandhan Bank promoters to cut stake.

Aap listing norms ke piche, regulatory norms aapke piche. Too much fun!

I did not get on applying but easily got upon listing @ 415. I think Ircon a good stock but bad timing made it dive on listing day.

Nothing wrong in dhfl except 9% exposure in il &fs otherwise good stock
You can do sip every week or fortnight
Don't make more then 5% of your total portfolio in secondary market (same views in YES BANK, BANDHAN BANK)
also buy good pharma stock with long term view
In NBFC or other sectors keep an eye on management issues
These ideas are not mine,it's ee msg
BTW I'm not doing anything in secondary market

U r more experienced then me
But lupin,biocon,Dr,Reddy cedila and some other midcap pharma stocks
Are looking good
Ups and downs may happen but long term with sip can earn money
Otherwise see some pharma related mutual fund portfolio and choose top 1-2 holding from them

Thanks! DHFL has no exposure in IL&FS (as per their management and also some research material I saw on the internet). I'm still researching for my decision but fundamentals appear to be solid. I'm a recent player (reentering markets after 10 years) and have only 5 scrips (Banking/Finance/FMCG). I may pick up DHFL to about 10% of portfolio extent with a lock in of at least 1 year as the valuation is attractive.

I'm planning to limit any further exposure in equity market after this acquisition for the next 1 year (buy and forget for 1 year is my mantra). I'm not much into IPOs: 2 issues applied recently 1 allotted & 1 not allotted.

Its HDFC ltd. which Holds ~9% in IL&FS. And that too is to be seen other-way around: that 9% of IL&FS must be very minute part of total HDFC Ltd. portfolio.

Sold my another lot at some loss around 430.
I am out from this counter.
After DHFL, yesb, Infibeam its now turn of Bandhan Bank on Monday.
After small & midcap wash out Large caps like Reliance, HDFC and TCS will crash.
Its the 2008 Part-2, a great meltdown has begin.

I have withdrawn all my applications but missed 1 in HDFC. Unfortunately got allotment in that 1 application. that too no allotment in that account from an year. now got allotment for IRCON which has poor listing. may be this is called Fate
