I am not sure what people are referring to but the LTM Diluted EPS as of 31-March-2007 is 2.3473 and not 0.74. That makes PE ratio 85.203 at Rs. 200 listing.

Having said that I do not mean the valuations are cheaper or attractive. Its highly overvalued.

These are the few who is constructing a flyover in Hyderabad, which was collapsed due to improper planning and low standard construction. The bridge collapsed on innocent people and atleast 5 people died.
If we have moral values, we should not subscribe to this IPO and teach them a lesson. This may rest the souls in peace of those who died in that tragic incident which could have been avoided.

What do you say guys? Don't you think investors have power? See what happened to wockhardt and Emmar IPO's due to investors unity.

Any IPO should be a strict no no for time being, until market gain some health and are stable.
Not to forget that money gets locked for 25days and you loose good opportunity of buying any stocks that may have fallen with market in the same interim period.
For this IPO specifically we feel in the same offer price you can buy good stocks even today from markets and they will earn you more in short term plus long term perspective.
I am writing this blog overlooking a Gammon constructions that is seen from my window and is still going on & on ...for last 5years now (courtesy Bangalore)!!

In the budget 2008-09 there is no such attractive work for infrastructure. But Gammon works are diversified, so this will not happen like “Brigade Enterprises”. Listing gain will be very nominal. This IPO is advisable for long term investors.

Brigade Enterprises price was very high, that’s why it was collapsed. Brigade should learn from Reliance Power. As Reliance Power knows the moral and sentiment of the retail shareholders for which they issue bonus shares. But I think this will not happen in case of Gammon as the price band is reasonable.

I am afraid of the registrar for they (Intime Spectrum) send refunds by post and not ECS. Difficult. Due to this in my Central Bank Of India IPO I had great difficulty. Don't want to apply because of this

because:
(1)the promoters of gammon india were barred from accessing capital markets for one year means they have proven bad credentials.
(2) construction and infrastructure is out of favour.
(3) they are saying they are in airport development, which airport they are developing? none.
(4) a bridge was collapsed in hyedarabad which was being developed by gammon which shows they are not using best practices.
it may offer very little listing gains , though chances are very little but those gains will be taxed 15% scg tax, coz it will list in april.
so pz take informed deceision.

GAMMON INFRA. IS A GOOD ISSUE N ITS A COMPANY OF GAMMON INDIA. GAMMON INDIA GIVES A GOOD RETURNS TO ITS INVESTORS. ITS A BIG ISSUE SO APPLY FOR THIS ISSUE. IT LIKE A GMR INFRA. VALUATION OF THE COMPANY IS ALSO REASONABLE.

MORE OVER IT DEPEND UPON THE MARKET CONDITION.
