Online auto classifieds platform, CarTrade Tech. Ltd’s initial public offering (IPO) will open on 9 August and close on 11 August.

CarTrade, which helps users find used as well as new cars, is backed by American private equity giant Warburg Pincus, Singapore’s state investor Temasek, JPMorgan and March Capital Partners.


The IPO comprises a pure offer for sale of 18.53 million shares by its existing shareholders and promoters. It comprises 2.26 million shares by CMDB II, up to 8.41 million shares by Highdell Investment, up to 5.08 million shares by Macrithie Investments Pte, up to 1.77 million shares by Springfield Venture International and 1.83 lakh shares by Bina Vinod Sanghi.

Currently, CMDB II holds 11.93% stake in the company, Highdell Investment, MacRitche Investment Pte, and Springfield Venture International holds 34.44%, 26.48% and 7.09% stake in the company.


Axis Capital, Citigroup Global Markets India, Kotak Mahindra Capital and Nomura Financial Advisory and Securities India are the book running lead managers to the issue.

For the fiscal year 2021, the firm reported a revenue of Rs 281.52 crore versus Rs 318.44 crore a year ago. Net profit for the period stood at Rs 101.07 crore against Rs 31.29 crore a year ago.

The company says its platforms, CarWale and BikeWale, ranked number one on relative online search popularity when compared to their key competitors. Its platforms operate under several brands: CarWale, CarTrade, Shriram Automall, BikeWale, CarTrade Exchange, Adroit Auto and AutoBiz.


For June 2021 quarter, its consumer platforms, CarWale, CarTrade and BikeWale collectively had an average of 27.11 million unique visitors per month, with 88.14% being organic visitors.

What could be tentitive date.?

Price band should be greater than 1500.
Private placement on Apr 8th @ 1367/- per share.
FY21 EPS bump is due to tax credit/deferred tax (same formula used by rolex rings to shows jump in FY21 EPS).

If we value 1500 by FY20 EPS then P/E would be 250.

सिर्फ GMP ही प्रभावित नही होगा, बल्कि बाजार पर भी असर पड़ता है, माँग-पूर्ति का नियम है, ओपरेटरौ को अधिक रकम चाहिए।
प्रमोटरों मे होड़ लगी है,अधिक से अधिक पैसा खीचने की,यह समय निकल गया, तो हाथ नही आएगा।
समझना निवेशकों को हैं,काँच एवं हीरे की पहचान जरूरी है।
आप स्वयं देखे GLS पर 125 जिसका भविष्य दिखाई देता है और Rollex पर 450 जिसका आज कल कह नही सकते।
ऐसी कम्पनियां हैं जो आज भी मार्च 21के वार्षिक रिजल्ट नही बता रही, अच्छी कम्पनी जून 21के दे रही हैं।

@mittal you are absolutely right. People only cry those have 100s of accounts. And cant able to finance all the IPOs at a time. Yahan logon ko ek v allot Nahi Hota he. A Ullu, gay, bhainse 200 _ 300 AC khol k a registrar achha Nahi o achha nhi failate rehte he.

Will be 10 % for retail...hope it changes to 35 % in rhp like Glenmark.

Dear Ankur Goel jee,. I have applied in IPO from 2 years,but till date I have not received any single allotment through online .every IPO I wait for allotment,but received message no allotment . That''s the Reason for going to secondary market and help from the some reliable members. I just share which I feel. Thanks

Lot of retail investors have expressed suspicion on the issue of non allotment.
A lot is being discussed & resentment expressed for non allotment in IPOs handled by One of the registrars. May not be true but why is there suspicion??
A question arises-
* Is there any Third Party monitoring & Certification of the process??
* Is randomisation of Application in each category of all these applications fair/transparent/without interference of Company or any other external influence??
How do investors know??
To the best of knowledge, there is NON!!
There is dire need for a robust & transparent system to validate/certification for Fairness/Transparent allocation of shares in ALL categories namely Anchor Investors, NII, QIB, Employees & Retail.
As the stakes are very high for everybody, SEBI, BSE, NSE & Union Government must design & ensure a transparent & fool proof system for IPOs, otherwise investor interests will be compromised in a opaque system.
