The free float of C Mahendra Exports is much bigger than SPYL. I don't feel it will rise like SPYL did. Fair value is 65-70.

For your today's short-sell position, the auction will take place on Tuesday (T+3 day). Auction settlement is done on T+4 day.

Some brokers settle shortage at price that is a fixed percentage above the selling price. My broker (Sharekhan, Religare) just buys the shares on T+3 day and passes them to the original buyer.

Call-up your RM & ask how your short-position will be settled. Some brokers charge penalty, let me say about 20% or 25%. I don't know what your broker's rules are.

At my brokerage house, I would pay only the market price of shortage quantity. If your brokerage house is big one, it could be only internal shortage. Some clients of your brokerage house must have bought CMahendra today. In case of internal shortages, the broker is free to settle the position as per his own rules.

In case of an auction at Exchange level, the close-out will be at the highest price prevailing in the NSE or BSE from the day of trading till the auction day or 20% above the official closing price on the auction day, whichever is higher. Close-out happens only when no shares are available with your broker. Normally, for liquid stocks, no close-out happens in big brokerage houses. Sometimes close-out happens for some part. Eg: If you short 100 shares, close out may happen for 10 shares. In that case, buyer (you are seller) will ge the shares on T+5 shares or buyer will get the close-out proceeds.

Ravi bangalore- what is the charge if the short delivery be c/f to the next day (charge per day) ? and for how many days it can be carry forward ? I think brokerage will be as on 'delivery bassis'

Shorted at 115 with stop-loss of 117. I will book loss. Do you?

Guys exit this share at no profit no loss level itself, because it seems that there is no operator playing in it.
