What happens if I do not get any shares but my money remains blocked when applying IPO through UPI?

Same here, I applied for Tata Technologies IPO, but share was not alloted to me. It has been 2 months, still I didn't get my money.

my motison amount still is block in bank of baroda. I want to asked that auto mandate if expired then automatically funds unblocked? I contact to phone they tell you have to go in bank, i contact to upstox also they said you have to go in bank & in bank saying problem is not from our side.

I have already sent mail to registrar motisons but he said you contact to SBI branch but branch Clark said that you contact UPI contact I also confusing how amount remove. Everyone asks to contact the bank but the bank says that we have not put the hold

Listen guys. Motisons IPO me bahot log ka amount unblock नही हुआ हैं। Upi mandate 4 January ko expire ho jayega. Aur sabka amount unblock ho jayega।
अगर उसके बाद भी unblock नहीं होता है तो आपको एक mail Mila hoga 22 December ko. Usme apko बस एक problem ke regarding ek mail डालना है।
मेरा भी amount अभी तक unblock नहीं हुआ है।

I have applied 1 lot of Archean Chemicals Ltd. and yet after 14 days of listing , the money has not been unblocked.

I have entered upi pin and approved the mandate request but it got failed and money got blocked and also the application is rejected with reason "mandate not approved". The request I approved get cancelled same day leaving my amount blocked and rejecting application. Phonepe does not show that auto-pay has been set and hence doesn't show an expiry date of request. I applied on groww through phonepe .

I have mailed the registrar and they replied that issue is escalated to bank officials for solving it.
But the issue isn't solved yet even after sending more than 2 reminders.
I have contacted the bank but they said that they can't help as problem isn't at their end.
I need help for this issue.

If you still did not get your money back the last thing you can do is to raise a complaint in SEBI. You can search their number and talk to them they will guide you

I have learned many comments in this section regarding the upi mandate amount block. I also faced many problems like this and realised that this problem is with only public sector banks. While in private banks money is unblocked before the allotment. Public banks have que system so they can block the amount at any stage.

I opted for 2lot but only 1 lot was alloted till now I haven't received my money

Me too, amount blocked, I called Kfintech, they said the UPi mandate date will expire on 22/8/23 hence only after that date all the blocked amount will be released, strange, SEBI useless...

I applied for the SBFC ipo and completed the mandate successfully. Money is blocked for the same too but when I'm checking the allotment status on ipo registrar it shows a message that your application not available. Even my amount is not unblocked. I think the bank is forgotten to instruct the registrar. Is there any provision to claim some amount for this bank's fault?

Any update regarding unblocking of amount? I too got the same message in Friday. Amount is still blocked.

I had applied in DCXsystem ipo by UPI from SBI bank account.
Did not get any allotment, but money was still blocked.
I complained to registrar which in turn mailed to SBI to unblock the money.
Didn't get any reply from bank and the money was blocked.

Today after 15 days my money got unblocked.

I think that the money automatically gets unblocked after 15 days. Though I am not sure.

I hope this experience might be of some help for others who are facing similar problem.

I also tried this.
After 1 month of my complaint.
They closed the case saying " No hold/lien in account".
But my fund was still blocked after 10 months of expiry of UPI mandate.

I applied for LIC IPO, but did not get the IPO. Then I received a mail from the tariff of LIC IPO Zerodha that you have not received the IPO But your blocked balance will be received after the mandate date, But today 25th may 2022 Debited balance 13560/- not refunded yet.

So finally what happened?

You need to connect registrar of the ipo issue, mail them for my case it was kfintech so i mailed on einward.ris@kfintech.com and they asked me the following information:
1) Bank Name
2) Account No
3) Branch Name
4) Application No
5) D-Mat Account No
6) PAN
7) Amount

So i provided all the info, they send it back to the bank and hold got released in next two days.
Nobody will help you only registrar can help you.

I am not well aware of trading, but i tried investing using Paytm money app.

I have applied one IPO (Destiny logistics) on 5th Oct. No shares alloted. IPO amount not yet unblocked even after mandate end date (20th Oct). I approached to SBI bank thru which money was blocked thru BHIM SBI UPI, nop resolution so far since 6 weeks, raised complained in SBI customer service several times but no resolution yet. My home account SBI branch could not able to support & is saying to contact SBI branch (16209) who has blocked this hold. But I could not able to contact this branch (sbi.16209@sbi.co.in), since email address of that branch is not working, mail is getting bounced back, & even contact phone number does not exist.

Also raised complained to NPCI & UPI support.. No response from them.. Where to go and how to get my money back to my account.
