Yes, Zerodha offers API for various functions of trading. Zerodha has built API on top of their trading platform Kite.

Zerodha has trading API, Historical data API, and publisher API for retail traders and start-ups.

The trading API allows users to place, modify and cancel various types of orders. It also helps to retrieve order history, positions, calculate margins, trade notifications, manage user portfolio, assist real-time trade execution, access live quotes using WebSocket.

The Historical data API helps to retrieve the data (open, close, high, low, Open Interest) for any instruments across all exchanges that can assist in coding trading strategies and automate trading.

The Kite publisher API helps to add trade button/s on your website/app. It does not include any other trading APIs.
