How to apply PAN Card of a minor? Who should sign in the form; child or parent? Whose photo should affix in form; child or parent?

To apply for PAN Card of a minor, one needs to fill up the Form 49A online/offline which can be downloaded from the official website of NSDL or UTI Technology Services Limited, who are authorized for it.

For minors, the proof of identity and address of either parent would be required to be submitted.

The application should also be signed by the parent whose documents have been submitted. The signature of the parent would be printed on the PAN Card.

Photographs of the minor would also be required. However, the photo of the minor would not appear on the PAN Card.

In the space for photograph in the PAN Card, the word “Minor” would be stated. However, that does not mean that the photo is not to be submitted to the Income Tax Department at the time of making the application.

You have to stick a photograph of minor on blank page and tell your representative assess ( Parents or guardian whomever you have taken in application ) to sign across the photograph and submit it to NSDL .

If a minor have Aadhar card and his father have also a aadhar card then whose details will be filled in form 49A. If minor''s aadhar details is to be filled then father''s aadhar copy is mandatory to send with minor aadhar card ? In this case will father sign on the form of minor.

Second, if minor have no any documentary proof of age, address and identification there is only guardian''s aadhar, then how it can be applied for pan.
