Hi I am using of HDFC SEC Dmat account. Brokerage charges is very high and bank also charge as depository Rs.25 +service tax per sale separately.So now i have decided to close of depository service of hdfc sec.

brokerage is on the higher side .... rest all is good. reduce minimum brokerage to Rs 15 and 0.2% delivery and 0.02% intra day (for online trades) . options brokerage should also be reduced to Rs 50-75 per lot . if they can do it these guys will beat competition hands down . customer service is excellent.

Trading in HDFC Securities is a good experience. Portfolio is well designed. Cost price and current price are available in portfolio. It shows the profit / loss in portfolio. Its easy to trade on HDFC than ICICI Direct.

Good service provided by HDFC Sceurities, web site based trading plateform good but DP charges cut monthly from the account is very surprise, how much they may cut ia can not under stand the formulae for monthly DP charges. I am maintaining my account since August 2008.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO ME , I THINK HA NOT HAPPENED WITH ANYBODY . I GOT A JOB IN PUNE IN HDFC STANDARD LIFE 2008. SO THEY OPENED MY SALARY ACCOUNT, WITH THAT CREDIT CARD ALSO, AND EVEN THEY OPENED MY DEMAT ACCOUNT WHICH I NEVER WANT THAT TIME. COZ EVEN I WAS NOT AWARE OF A SINGLE THING IN SHARE MARKET. AS MY BOSS INSISTED OR CUD SAY FORCED ME TO OPEN DEMAT ACCOUNT. AS FOR CREDIT CARD I GOT BENFET , NO BLAME FOR IT . BUT FOR DEMAT I GOT SCREWED UP . THE KIT NEVER REACHED MY HOME . BUT WHEN AFTER 3 YEARS IN 2012 AUGUST , SUDDENLY I HAVE GIVEN A CHEQUE TO SOMEBODY TO CASH FROM MY ACCOUNT . THE CHEQUE GOT BOUNCED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT FUND . DO U KNOW WHY? BECA800 RS WAS DEDUCTED FROM MY ACCOUNT AS AMC AFTER 3 YEARS . WHICH I WAS NOT AWARE AND NOBODY HAD TOLD ME OF THAT . EVEN HDFC SEC PEOPLES HAVE NEVER INTIMATED ME . AS I WAS NOT AWARE OF THAT I HAVE TO CLOSE THAT DEMAT ACCOUNT. WHEN FINALLY I CLOSED IT UP , I SUFFERED A LOT . EVEN I ASKED THEM THAT I HAVE NEVER TRADED , OR EVEN I HAVE NEVER GET THE OPENING KIT . I GOT A REPLY THAT ITS COMPANY POLICY. SO UNETHICAL HDFC SEC DIVISION IS I CAME TO KNOW . AS I AM A DAILY TRADER SINCE LAST YEAR IN IIFL . IT IS GOOD .

I have my trading account which they have deactivated without any information. I have complianed to the customer care but not getting reply. It is nightmare to deal with the employees of HFDC securities. It is my sincere advise not to open any demat cum traidng account since there are so many other options available.
Dear S Yadav, i completely agree with you about the good services of Hdfc securities.Their telebroking number is 33553366 (prefix local STD code)you may also anytime contact at thier verious branches to place the order, during mkt hours. - if you are calling for the first time,you need to generate the TPIN by entering your Date of birth (DD/MM/YY)& Demat account no.post verifying you will be asked to enter your 4 digits TPIN, hereafter identification and authentication you may place the order -Brokerage structure is competitively fair, lesser than ICICI
I have a trading a/c with HDFC since last 2 years. I like it very much for the following.
- safety/security on net is very strong. - timely execution of required process. - customer care service is very good. The only drawback on their system is when we want to place an order through phone, we have to wait for the long time. Ahough the brokerage rates are a little bit high, my overall rating is "Better". If HDFC securities reduces its brokerage rates for retail investors then,I THINK, a huge no of retail investors will switch to HDFC Securities.

I have had sold 400 Kwality Dairy Equity Shares on cash market on 30.4.2012.Till date and time (3.05.2012 18.45 hrs) the money has not been credited to my S.B account.Yesterday when I contacted my HDFC SECURITIES broker for buying DCB stock option he said only on realisation of cash which I have had sold from Kwality dairy is realised I can make the transaction on options .Since 4 days I am sitting idle viewing the stock in my system without doing any trade.Can you explain?

I haven't tried any other broker yet. But till now, my experience with HDFC sec has been average. The trading page gets expired after every few minutes of idle time, which is irritating. Brokerage seems to be higher, if compared to other brokers. But as far as interface is concerned, I think it is good and user friendly.
I don't know how others' work, but HDFC's customer support is satisfactory for me.

it is truely waste of time trying to explain the needs of the client, one of the manager mr rahul...probably thinks that he is the only kingpin dealinng in securities...i have an account but having a word with mr Rahul on reduction of the brokerage i decided to immediately close the account with them, may be toady as the papers are ready...and 'shifting to GEOJIT. a very POOR experience at HDFC Securities

a/c maintenance fee is on much higher side comparatively. Brokerage is also on higher side. Website sometimes creates problems for along period. Customer service is average. Overall experience with the HDFCSEC.Ltd is very poor.

The website does not work in multiple browsers. The trading interface is very unintiutive.
Additionally - the downtime for this trading site is very high. They started an upgrade on Monday 17 Oct 2011 - and its still down today 19 Oct 2011.
72 HOURS of downtime is completely unacceptable for a paid service. Even "Free email services" are never down for more than a few hours, its appalling that a critical service of this sort is down for days. It just reflects on the state of the company's management and philosophy of negligence.
