I opened demat & trading account with the icicibank, they send an email to me that my first three transaction for trading is free from the brokerage charges, I did margin plus trading but they charged me total almost 2.5% on buying and 2.5% on selling in intraday trading. I enquired about the total charges and also about the high charges through mail to desktop but they didnot reply me till today about the scheme and on what basis they have deducted such high charges, Currently I am applying the online IPO it is very friendly but take few hours to execute the order, donot know the brokerage on delivery
and more importantly it is very slow to do trading online and also they are not providing the live stock watch of 20-30 stock as the other brokers are providing and the process of buying & selling is also a prolong. No one cannot do buying/selling in seconds as compare to other stock broking services. The bank should do the required changes and reduce the charges and improve the service

I live in UK, Unfortunately one sunny day I have decided to open a NRI Demat account in ICICI direct. I welcomed the trouble.

They took rather very long time around 4 months to open an account(lot of paper work,lot of attestation of documents) and after all this, need to make lot of calls to their Mumbai office. Their customer service is horrible, as someone pointed out here except saying 'sorry sir' and 'thank you sir' they dont much anyway.

1. IPO and Mutual funds - ICICI has given some strange logic and stopped all NRIs from UK for applying IPOs.
2. Trading - very expensive brokerage. Customer service needs to be improved. There is lot of scope.

Please guys - If you know any other service provider who will allow NRI from UK to apply IPOs, please let me
know. I have to open an account.

I pity all the online stock trading companies operating in India. They are unprofessional, incompetent and indifferent to the customers. This sector urgently requires foreign operators to pitch in to give these people run for their money.

Guys,

I'm not satisfied with ICICI due to following reasons

1) ICICI server is not at all good. Its quite slow and gets totally blocked when some new heavily over subscribed IPO opens. I wanted to purchase vishal retail but i couldn't apply for it on the opening day till 11:00 AM because server was too busy.

2) The brokerage is high as compared to other DPs.

3) Trading starts on Stock exchange at 9:55 AM but from ICICI online, one can trade after 10:00 AM. This delay proves costly if one wants to buy stock on the listing date.

Guys ,

I am an NRI custmer of ICICI direct. I request & warn everyone not to open account with ICICI direct if u love you money, peace of mind at all. I can not express my experience due to paucity of space here but to say atleast , the ICICI direct site will make you mad, It's behavior is crazy! Forget trading if , one wants to buy or sale simple mutual fund online , then you have to log in , & re-log in around 50 times. May be you end up trying whole day for purchasing / redemption of even mutual fund.Above all, thier customer service will say that every thing is OK & perfect at their side !!! The ideal perfect eartwhile govt organization!!!!!. I think , they are maintaning the legacy !!

After going theu this post if anybody from ICICI direct wants to contact me they can do so at my e-mail address or at this side. I have got in record all the e-mail communication with ICICI direct . I request everybody to spread this message, so that their customer base gets effected may be due to this , these type of organization my start to behave themselves.!!!!!

I am the user of ICICI Direct, Service is very worst as per my view and experience.I have recomonded 2 of my coligues one out of it trading kit reached Qatar instead of Oman. Another friend september 2006 filed application, till now the trading kitnot reached.And software which they use it is out dated some update required. Other wise you will loose half of the time refreshing the page.

I am a NRI customer of ICICIDirect. It is very difficult to open account in ICICIDirect. It took me three months to open trading account after sending hundreds of e-mails and telephone contact with the ICICI official. ICICI brokerage charges are very high for delivery based trading. The ICICI management should look into the customer concerns and lower the brokerage charges. Also, it is difficlut to access their site during trading session. The ICICI should update their software.

I went to the bank and placed a request for address change. A week later I got a letter telling me that my account was closed. Its been 2 months after that, still they are sending me round in circles. And of course brokerage is too high. ICICI is getting customers only because of advertising. Their service is painful.

Trading with ICICI DIRECT is easy and convenient.. But brokerage is high in the world(perhaps), Customer care service is horrible. I have experienced almost 2 months struggle to get my problem solved but still trying. You can not imagine what amount and why they are debiting from the linked ICICI Bank account... If you will forget about what charges the ICICI is levying other services are almost good.

Not only share trading but in every activity, ICICI Bank is good so long as you do not have to any individual face to face. For all account opening activities, you have to go through agents, who with a few exceptions, are totally incompetent and ever ready to mislead and misguide the potential clients of ICICI Bank. As a result, when client has to deal with ICICI staff during course of operation he is left totally confused a frustrated. The ICICI staff is rude and least concerned about the concerns of clients. Phone banking staff is not having authority of any kind. They mostly continue with their own activities and enjoy clients being put to wait endlessly.

On the whole, if you want a narrow straight line operations where you do not have to visit the ICICI Bank branch, and you can make your transaction over the internet, at ATM or over phone, ICICI is one of the best banks.

i opened saving a/c recently through tele mkg people .after waiting for a month i got my chequebook & atm card with name printing error on chequebook they worte rajan instead of ranjan & on atm they wrote father name worng.complaint department not all of helping nature.till date they have not solved my query.avoid & use hdfcsec or sharekhan instead of icici.

(Buy,Sell,Dividend) would be done from my new account 003901224715 and not from 003901225447.

However recently a dividend has been transfered to my 003901225447 instead of 003901224715.
Please do let me know the discrepancy on your end.???? Who would be refunding the dividend amount of 180 INR to me????

I am totally frustrated with the type of service you are providing. I would be calling up every week at the ICICI Web Trade Office in Pune for the same, would be visiting the office and it would be like we have forwarded request to Bombay office and have not received any updates from there.

brokerage is the worst part but other services like applying for IPO , Mutual Funds, GOI Bonds, and Postal Savings Schemes is very excelent(online and without any paper work) Trading is available in both BSE and NSE.
site is very slow,90%of the time goes in refreshing the page.they even do not have any trading terminal like indiabulls .to operate one thing u need to go through n number of shufling through the site pages.need to improve a lot...

Bokerage for NRIs very high !!! Along with Service tax , it goes to 1.53% for bying and again 1.53% for selling. Account opening with them is a nightmare due to handling by fresh collegiates who do not know anything abt the process and just made to jump in the well by facing customers !!

Icici direct is bad in brokerage charges compared to India Bulls sec. They have to reduce a lil bit.
