ALSO DOWN. TODAY INFLATION FIGURES(INCLUSION OF LAST PETROL PRICE HIKE)
BABA RAMDEV GOING ON FAST. OMC'S TALKING OF Rs.1.50 HIKE IN PETROL.
IT'S CONFUSING NOW. I THINK OUR MARKET WILL ALSO SLIDE. NIFTY MAY
TOUCH 5350 INTRADAY.(RANGE SEEMS 5350-5520). ANY EXPERT'S IDEA?

AHT - Yes US and Europe markets seem to be in big trouble which is negative but crude is down by 2 % which is positive. I hope the market remains flattish tomorrow and does not react negatively to fall in global markets.

I MEANT 5450 FOR NIFTY BUT THROUGH MISTAKE IT WAS TYPED 5350.

In the monring, market down is a good thing and my short position in LIC gave good profit. At the same time, my long position tatamotors was losing. In the end, no loss no gain game. I covered my position in LIC and I still hold tatamotors. I think it has bottomed out and started moving up. Lets see what happens tomorrow.

I have exited REC also when it hitted my target. Now I have a buy position in LIC for tomorrow to gether with SAIL and ONGC (long position from last week).

IT SEEMS PROMOTORS MIGHT BE OFFLOADING THEIR HOLDINGS.

I cannot buy it after 20 percent appreciation becos I cannot sell it after ex date as it will directly sit in the lower circuit.So best is people who buy should exit before ex date else it will hit 2 circuits lower at the least.

If I get some profit before 31st, I will exit. There is no need to wait for dividend when we have some profit. Like you said, this stock cannot be beleived as such. Even today it was trading at 106-107 range for quite sometime. Suddenly it went to 98 level. Then slowly it came up to 104. So I think it will be strong until the ex-dividend date and so I am hoping for 120 Rs before that. Lets see.

Sold one of them (Reliance Put) in profit. The other three are still in profit but haven't sold them yet.

I am taking a risk with the hope that today it will go down further (may be more than 250 points) by this evening. I will sell all the puts by today for sure. Let us see if the European markets all open in red. My finger are crossed.

I covered my short position in HPCL today. I also had puts in tatasteel and sold it when it reached 8. I am holding SBI put and waiting for 30 to get out. Hopefully, it will happen today. I am having open position in BHEL withstrict stoploss at 355. Lets see what happens after the results.

In this falling market, BHEL is still holding its position. This is the indication of good Q4 numbers.

All indian motor congress leader had said that lorrys will be on strike, if the government hikes diesel price....

So diesel price hike, will be a question now...

I am a big supporter of deregulation of diesel,kerosene & lpg.Subsidy is creating lot of inefficiencies in the system.Kerosene mafia everyone knows.Adulteration is going on everywhere becos of cheap price of kerosene.lpg domestic cylinders are being diverted for commercial purpose.why should govt ignore fiscal deficit & support such move.It is not that oil wil'l increase continously.see oil decreased from 150 to 30 during recession.so once govt bites the bullet.it is great for everyone

Diesel price derelation is not going to happen anytime now. it will derail the cong government. So they don't do it atleast now. Now price hike itself is a big question as lots of strikes are going on throughout India. Lets wait and watch.

I have a short position in HPCL and hope govt wont announce any news regarding this by today or tomorrow. So that I can see some profit in this counter. Just kidding..

I think government will go ahead with diesel price hike as they have gained some confidence from the recent elections (congress and allies havent done bad at all). De-regulation is best but think too radical a step to be taken at this time. Any rate hike as expected will not bode well for the stock markets.

Gane,

Increase in LPG domestic rate by Rs.50/- is expected anytime. Further govt has a proposal to issue only 4 cylinders a year at full subsidy rate and the balance cylinders at Rs.700/- and the trial is expected to start by Oct. There are some suggestions to increase this to 6 or 8 cylinders per year. So keep a close watch on the short position of HPCL.

In my opinion Diesel deregulation may not happen in the immediate future. As such crude is expected to cool off to 80-90 levels and the subsidy burden on OMCs is manageable.

Today I placed an order for HPCl covering at 553 just 3 rupees above my target hoping that the price will not fall that fast. Unfortunately, within in eye blink time, the order got executed. The price fall from 558 to 552.10. But thats fine. Seen profit in this shorting.

As you said, its very risky now as the diesel and lpg price is going to be hiked very soon.

If you are in good profit, you can exit both RIL and SBIN. The trend may change anytime soon in our market and then you will just erase your profit. Better not to be greedy to enjooy the fruit.

People are talking about 5200 in nifty. If it is so, RIL can touch 850 or less (already in 900) and SBIN will touch 2000 or less.
