What is upper ckt limit on listing day.

firstly listing price will be determined on the basis of weighted average of buyers and sellers Bids (at closing of pre-bidding session). Henceforth, circuit will be listing price +/- 20%/5%/other respectively.

If you get a rate of 1900+ than take your capital amount and 50% of profit out. Keep only shares in lieu of leftover profit for long term.

There is no doubt that the listing of Hdfc AMC will be great. But is it the stock which can be a good long term bet??

If I remember correctly than hdfc life IPO was subscribe only 0.91x in retail and nobody was touching it.

And now sudden hype for Hdfc AMC. People now talking about brand, management and bright future.

AMC business is cyclical in nature. Long term investor always stay away from cyclical stocks. Equity market and interest rate have direct impact on AMC business and its earning.

So to each his own. But this ain't dmart, hdfc life, shankara, page, eicher, havells or titan. Earnings will be impacted in future which will be reflected in stock price.

This is ideal stock for positional traders and for TV anchors like Anil Singhvi who enjoy their temporary fame.

HDFC Std Lif, Nov 2017, Issue price 290s, listing day close 344, present price 488 (Source-Performance tracker in Chittorgarh)

Disclosures:
1) On same forum ppl mentioned the issue is too costly, didn't applied and have learnt from it. I have no problem in accepting mistake and remember the lesson

2) Applied for HDFC AMC- Unfortunately not allotted a single lot and hence will buy on listing. My invst View :Med to Long term.

3) Have HDFC Bank since long back and haven't betrayed till date. Even add them when financial and opportunity prevails
