my friend''s allotment status is showing but for my PAN it is still showing No Record Found. Its irritating..

sir its wrong to say that sme shares cant be sold through icici direct.
because I hold icici direct a/c I got sme allotment and sold through icici direct.
Only thing is your broker need to contact the nearest regional office for buying or selling sme shares at icici direct. very simple. you might receive call from the icici direct from Mumbai for second line of confirmation.

Unfortunately different execs at ICICI direct sing different songs, there is no consistency with their answers and some of the dont understand SME stocks and give misleading information.

So here are the facts,
I have sold Airan thru call and trade thru icicidirect. So if one get allotment, when you want to sell you have to call them and give them your limit order. Please note that it takes atleast 30 mins for the order to execute, so lets say u place your limit order at 1030 and the target is hit by 1045 chances are the limit order will not go thru. So be prepared for that but I did manage to sell as luckily Airan was almost trading at the same price for a longer time. The reason they say it takes time because the orders they can place is OFFLINE. With regards to Market order one exec say they take and the other said they dont, so I dont know if its available but again the market order will be the price prevailing after 30 or 34 mins as per what i explained before, I hope this answers your query.

Yes dear. The customer care pupil wont understand the things because they are not educated about sme shares. Selling through icici direct is for all sme scripts. Not for any particular script. For selling you have to email to icici direct from your registered email id. and also need to specify the rate for selling, For the first few months/day market maker would quote the rate. We must be greedy to hold because liquidity issues.. I have sold madhya pradesh agro products on the listing date itself with handsome gains and now the script has doubled from my selling rate. It all depends upon risk appetite of ours.
