I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN OF 75 AND HAVE BEEN ATTEMPTING TO CLOSE MY DEMAT ACCOUNTS(ALSO MY FAMILY) FOR OVER A DECADE BUT EVERY TIME I VISIT THEIR OFFICE IN NEW DELHI, THE STAFF FINDS ONE FAULT OR THE OTHER AND EVEN ON COLLECTION OF PAYMENT NO DELIVERY SLIP IS EVER ISSUED.THESE ACCOUNTS HAVE BEEN NON OPERATIVE FOR AROUND 15 YEARS AND CONSTANTLY ACCRUING CHARGES. IS IT POSSIBLE TO CLOSE THESE ACCOUNT BY MAIL REQUESTS BECAREQUESTS SENT BY FAX HAVE NOT BEEN EFFECTIVE.PLEASE SUGGEST AN EASIER WAY WHICH REQUIRES NO MORE THAN ONE VISIT TO STANDARD CHARTERED OFFICE.
